Happy Urban Gold Miner

Happy New Year Everyone!

That's pretty much all I have to say today. I was stumbling around searching for an idea for a new website and typed in urban gold miner. I found a whole bunch of stuff there but one thing I wanted to show you is this.

It looks to me like the guy has found a way to pick up a few extra bucks without getting his hands too cold. This time of the year it beats being in the Bush squatting in a creek shuffling a gold pan around.

Maybe I will look into giving it a try!!

Something to think about anyway.

How to Find Nuggets on Bedrock

"Zooming across frozen Green Lake near Wh...Image via Wikipedia
Hello everyone.  I do not have a lot for you today but found this short article that I am sure you will enjoy.

It is from a site in British Columbia, Canada and as you know there has been a lot of gold hauled out of the ground there.

I want to be sure to write about things that you will be interested in so if you can would you consider sending me any ideas you have?

I hope those of you that live in snow country are doing OK.  I am sure you are, prospecting makes for some very self reliant people so you are probably the ones out helping the less prepared get through the crisis.

The nice thing about helping others is the feeling of satisfaction that comes from knowing you made a difference.

'Coons Panning on the Porch

A Raccoon at Cologne ZooImage via Wikipedia
I was sitting in the living room reading last night when I heard a little rattling sound.  I bet you know what it was?  That is right - it was a couple of Raccoons on the porch.  One of them - the Boss - I call him is as big as a cocker spaniel.  He has an apprentice who is probably this years pup.  The apprentice is only about 10 -2 pounds or so.  The Boss is 20 minimum.

I was looking at them through the window and the Boss stood up on his hind legs and almost said "feed us you idiot".  So I did.  They ate 2 cups of cat food in less than 5 minutes and left.

But - they are back tonight!  I took pity and gave them more grub.  I am not going to do it again.  When I was about 13 years old me and a friend caught a Coon with the idea we would tame it.  That was not a wise thing to do.  After placing the very pissed off animal in a log cabin in my buddy's back yard we proceeded to harass it and thinking if we gave it food it would start to like us.

It liked the food but did not forget who put it in the unfavorable position it was in.  It finally got it's chance and bit my friend.  Lucky it was not a serious bite but it made us decide that Bobby (the Coons name) was better off in the woods, so we let him go.

They are incredibly dirty animals - not litter trained like a cat, and even though you think they wash the food they eat and from a distance they look so cute they stink.

That is all there is about that, they are not panning for gold just dipping the food like police do with donuts.

I'm Just Trying Something Here

I'm going to try to embed a video and have never done before so I'm doing it now to see if I get it to work right.

This is a funny one I found about dogs sliding downhill and snow. It made me laugh.

Here goes:

I'm going to check in now.okay I didn't get it right there. Let me try something else.

Okay I see how you do it now. The experiment is over. I'm sorry there's nothing here about gold panning but you'll probably get a kick out of the video.

My Bet on Cable

card game BlackjackImage via Wikipedia
Good evening all.  I have made a bet that GBPUSD will go up in price.  My bet was placed at 1.5735 my R line is at 1.5950.

Lets see if I can get close. I will update this in a while.
I have lost my Zemanta and am going to have to figure out how to make it work with Chrome. See you in a while.

OK I got Zemanta back. I am going to have to log off now and go to another Blog and install it there.

Back again, as i was gone Cable ran up a bit but not anywhere close to my line.

There is nothing like a good run of luck at a card table.  I don not play Poker as I find it boring. I prefer Blackjack, it is fairly fast and I don't get bored for about 1/2 an hour or so.

For some real fast action Chem de Fer or Baccarat is some fun.  Chem de Fer is road of steel in English.  Funny name for a card game.

I guess I will be pulling my money off the table here.  Mr. Cable has given me 18 pips and I do not want to give it back.  Cashing out at 15758 + 23 pips.

How to Make Your Own Classifier

Not the one you will make, just a picture of a bucket classifier I got off the net.

There is a great explanation on how to build a cheap set of classifiers for use with a 5 gallon pail.

I do not have much more to say except that I built on in the garage and it took about 1/2 hour and works good.

The nice thing is you can make as many and whatever screen size suits your location.

If you can find a place with lots of 5 gallon buckets they want to get rid of you are set.

So if you are tired of classifying in your pan when you are out sampling take a look HERE.
