My Bet on Cable

card game BlackjackImage via Wikipedia
Good evening all.  I have made a bet that GBPUSD will go up in price.  My bet was placed at 1.5735 my R line is at 1.5950.

Lets see if I can get close. I will update this in a while.
I have lost my Zemanta and am going to have to figure out how to make it work with Chrome. See you in a while.

OK I got Zemanta back. I am going to have to log off now and go to another Blog and install it there.

Back again, as i was gone Cable ran up a bit but not anywhere close to my line.

There is nothing like a good run of luck at a card table.  I don not play Poker as I find it boring. I prefer Blackjack, it is fairly fast and I don't get bored for about 1/2 an hour or so.

For some real fast action Chem de Fer or Baccarat is some fun.  Chem de Fer is road of steel in English.  Funny name for a card game.

I guess I will be pulling my money off the table here.  Mr. Cable has given me 18 pips and I do not want to give it back.  Cashing out at 15758 + 23 pips.

Betting on Cable

Charts day GBP/USD 1992Image via WikipediaLast night I was doing a little Forex spread betting.
I had decided that there was a good chance that Cable (GBPUSD) was going up and placed a bet on it.
Of course you know what happened, it went down. Being a smart bettor I got out with a 26 pip loss.

Of course I was right so I bet again. This time I was so right that I decided to take 2 positions. You guessed it... It went down again. I was having a hard time admitting I was wrong so I let my loss go to 50 pips. By then I was down 100 pips - 2 positions 50 each.

But I was still right and had to prove it again. This time I thought it would make a big, fast run up so 1 position would get me back my losses. It went down and I dropped 24 more pips.

Stay with your plan!!  I was out on my first bet and should have gone to bed. You cannot "get even" with the market. If it says it is going down, it goes down. Betting against it will not change it.

I had a plan, implemented it and when it went against me I had an exit plan. I executed my plan correctly the 1st time. Then I went nuts!!!

Again - Stay with your plan.
